PRIMARY FUNCTION

 

Provides leadership for HVCU's SBA operational framework. Serving as the credit union's principal SBA authority, the role designs, governs, and enhances policies, procedures and controls.  Ensures the SBA platform scales efficiently with business growth, maintains full regulatory compliance, and delivers superior client experience.

 


 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Own and update the SBA operations manual; align workflows, controls, and technology with regulatory requirements and volume growth

Interpret SBA regulatory changes, issue enterprise guidance, and establish quality control checkpoints to protect guaranty eligibility

Assess operational capacity against business growth targets; develop business cases for process improvements

Maintain current standard operating procedures, checklists, and reference materials

Lead preparation for SBA and third-party audits, coordinate data collection, craft response plans, and oversee full remediation of findings.

Represent the credit union at SBA conferences and peer forums


Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
