PRIMARY FUNCTION

 

Shapes and advances the long-term strategic direction of the credit union. Partners with senior leaders across business units to identify growth opportunities, evaluate emerging industry trends, and guide enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. Acts as an internal consultant and trusted advisor, providing data-driven insights, facilitating strategic decision-making, and ensuring alignment between enterprise priorities and the credit union's mission of delivering long-term member value.

 


 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Partner with executive leadership to develop, refine, and track enterprise strategic plans.

Conduct market, member, and competitor analysis to identify risks, opportunities, and emerging trends.

Develop business cases, financial models, and strategic recommendations for new initiatives, partnerships, and growth opportunities.

Translate complex analysis into clear, concise narratives and recommendations for executive management and board-level audiences.

Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on enterprise priorities and transformation initiatives.

Support the design and execution of cross-functional initiatives that drive efficiency, innovation, and measurable member impact.

Facilitate workshops, strategic off-sites, and decision-making sessions with executives and stakeholders.

Provide thought leadership on organizational change, strategic frameworks, and financial services best practices.

Establish and monitor KPIs and success metrics to track progress against strategic objectives.

Partner with Finance, Risk, and Business Intelligence teams to ensure alignment of strategic and financial planning.

Support enterprise portfolio management by helping to prioritize initiatives and allocate resources toward the highest-impact projects.

Build strong relationships with executives and senior leaders to drive buy-in and accountability for strategic initiatives.

Act as a connector between enterprise strategy, business units, and enabling functions such as Transformation Office, PMO, and CUSO partners.

Mentor junior strategy and transformation team members, contributing to the growth of internal consulting and advisory capabilities across the organization.


Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with a variety of internal/external customers.
